Die Casting VS Injection Molding: Which is Better?

So, how can we know the difference between mould and die? In die casting, raw materials made of metal are forced into cavities made of steel molds through intense pressure. The molds are made out of two parts; the fixer and the ejector. The pressure between the two parts is maintained until the molten metal begins to solidify. After that, the casting may now be removed from the machine. There are types of die casting; squeeze casting and semi-solid molding.
The plastic molding process on the other hands works in a similar way with die casting. Instead of metal, raw materials made of plastic or polymer like duraflex material are used. The raw materials are melted and forced into molds made of steel or aluminum. The molten plastic is allowed to cool and solidify then ejected from the machines. This is the conventional method of plastic molding. The other types of injection moulding are the following; powder injection, co-injection, thin-wall, fusible core injection, injection-compression, and more.
